who we are
We Are Plaçantins.
This Is Our Work.
Plaisance-du-Sud is a village of 27,000 people in the Nippes department of Haiti. The land is rich. The people are hardworking. But the town has been left behind for too long.
FDPS Corp was not created by outsiders. We are sons and daughters of Plaisance. We grew up in Plaisance. We carry it with us every day. And we decided to stop waiting for someone else to fix or develop it for us.
This is not charity. This is us investing in our own town. Nobody else is going to do this for us.
We need to show that we are willing to help ourselves so that outsiders feel motivated to match our efforts.
We Are Already Building.
36 solar panels are in the ground and working right now. Here is where we stand.

The First Project:
Solar Power
for Plaisance.
When the sun sets in Plaisance-du-Sud, everything stops. There is no electricity, and the entire village goes dark. For the 3,000 students across 7 schools in one little area — not the entire greater Plaisance — their education stops when daylight ends. That means no studying or reading after dark.
We are changing that, one panel at a time. Every dollar you give goes directly to this project, and we will show you exactly what it pays for.

How Your Money Works
You have seen nonprofits take donations and nothing changes. Here is exactly how we are different.
1
You Give
Every donation goes into a dedicated project fund. We do not spend money on office space, fancy dinners, or consultant reports. Your dollars go to Plaisance.
2
We Build
We work with trusted people on the ground in Plaisance-du-Sud. Solar panels go in the ground. Classrooms get repaired. Real things you can see.
3
We Show You
We post photos, numbers, and updates for every project. You will always know what your money built. No exceptions.
Why Plaisance-du-Sud
Nobody Else
Is
Coming to
Save
Our Town.
There are bigger cities in Haiti with more NGOs, more media, more attention. That is exactly the point. Nobody else is focusing on Plaisance-du-Sud. So we are doing it ourselves.
The land is fertile, and the people are proud. Haiti's 10th president, Fabre Geffrard, was born here. We are also the birthplace of General Nicolas Geffrard, who signed the Act of Independence in 1804. Sudre Dartiguenave was born here as well. Plaisance has given much to Haiti. Now, it is our turn to give something back.

Why it matters
"When the sun goes down, I stop doing my homework. Not because I do not want to. Because there is no light."
